The Cuyahoga County Commissioners

approve the merger of the Ryan White Title I and Title II programs,

providing over $4,000,000

in free services to more than 2,500 persons living with HIV/AIDS

14% of individuals newly infected with HIV in the U.S. already exhibit resistance to at least one antiviral drug.

Cuyahoga County Commissioners receive first C.A.R.E. Act grant and establish the Cuyahoga Regional HIV Services Planning Council to administer medical and social support services to persons living with HIV/AIDS.
